Intermediate Ministry
The transition between children’s ministry and youth ministry can be challenging. Our church has a ministry designed specifically for students in the 5th and 6th grades. We call it THE LINK.

6th Grade – Room 309
Students are exposed to the basics of the faith. We use the Apostle's Creed as a template for discovering the mysteries of the faith. Students who would like to be a part of the confirmation class in the spring are encouraged to be a part of this group as it serves as a primer for those topics that come up during confirmation.

Confirmation Class
The confirmation class for 6th graders meets during the spring. These classes are usually held for 4-5 Sunday nights and end just before Easter. Students learn the basics of the faith, Church History, what it means to be United Methodist, and how becoming a confirmed member makes a difference in their lives. At the end of the class, students are offered the option to join the church on Confirmation Sunday.
Additional Details for 6th graders
All students in 6th grade are invited to be a part of Discovery weekend with the student ministry. It is an exciting time of discipleship, fun, and worship that draws students closer to Christ. It also serves as a “kickoff” to their confirmation education.
After Confirmation Sunday, all 6th graders are invited to join the Student Ministry for the remainder of the school year and summer. This means they are eligible for all activities, trips, and events.
